Escape Rooms, Deliveroo
Building on the success of previous food festivals, the 2019 campaign featured a more targeted approach at a key customer: The Student. A bus was purchased, converted and route planned to visit as many student unions across the country as possible. Not content to just give away free food, Deliveroo wanted to create a memorable experience and the Escape Rooms concept was shortlisted. Each room featured a series of food related problems and the last room had no obvious exit as the sofa needs to lifted to reveal a ladder to the lower deck of the bus. Category: Experiential. Retail Experiential, The Royal Mint
The Royal Mint looked to secure a retail estate in London and briefed the design of a store based on a 280m2 footprint to showcase several keys areas of their coin portfolio. The space was sectioned with the highest selling items and lowest dwell time, i.e. Commemorative and Collectible coins, at the front of the store, a gift shop with branded merchandise was placed centrally, and the Historic Coin Experience was sited behind, away from the main footfall. At the rear of the store an invite only area was created for investments and bullion. Category: Retail Experiential. Software: 3ds Max (V-Ray), Unreal, Photoshop. Copyright: Oakwood Agency.

Roadshows, Mattel (HotWheels)
Tasked to design a summer weekend roadshow to promote the ‘Team Hot Wheels’ driver brand. A structure was required that could easily constructed over a short period of time and moved from various Tesco locations across the UK. Due to the success of this roadshow, the following summer Hot Wheels teamed up with the Boom Co brand to bring together an indoor experiential that toured shopping malls nationwide. In 2015 an experiential was constructed in the Westfield Mall entitled ‘The Epic Race’ that supported the ‘Connectors’ campaign and on the final day was the 100 loops World Record attempt. Children could participate building track and racing their cars in various testing zones and along the world record course. In the subsequent year, Hot Wheels returned to a roadshow format for the ‘Make It Epic’, this time using a branded and decked out shipping container. Category: Experiential. Goodwood FoS, BP Ultimate
Experiential concept proposed for a brand takeover of the Goodwood Festival of Speed Tech Dome to help customers engage with performance fuels. Rather than follow the performance angle, a message was created to connect deeper emotionally: ‘Remember Your First Love?’. Customers were encouraged to take a nostalgic look back at their first cars, asked to share their stories, visit the stand to see if theirs has made it to the ‘First Love’ video wall, and to tie in with the current product offering, were reminded look after the things they love by ‘Falling in love again’. A stand was designed populated with a variety of displays, touchscreens for story uploads and featured a lead competition centre piece - to win the car simply throw a paper airplane through the tiniest gap in the car door window!
